Other company groups that follow a similar model are Keventer Food Park Infra Ltd., MKJ Enterprises Ltd. and Madanlal Ltd. Keventer Agro is a company that shared emails with MKJ Enterprises, a West Bengal Congress leader in 2017 after Madanlal and the West Bengal government sold their shares. Ranjan Chowdhury of Metro Dairy to Keventer Agro Adhir filed a PIL. The West Bengal government sold its 47% stake in Metro Diary to Keventer Agro Limited for Rs 85 million in 2017. The same year, a Singaporean private equity fund acquired a 15% stake in Keventer Agro for R1.7 billion. Now, Mr. Mayank Jalan is the Managing Director of Keventer Agro and General Manager of Metro Dairy.

ED has launched an investigation into the West Bengal government’s involvement in shares in Metro Dairy in 2019. Subpoenas have been issued to numerous government officials, including those in Hong Kong. Dwivedi was the state finance minister in 2017 when Metro Diary’s shares were divested. In June 2020 and later in March 2021, the newspaper was distributed to state government officials, including the Hon’ble Chief Minister. Dwivedi.
